Stewart McDonald (Director) Stewart MacDonald gained his Bachelor of Business Studies at Dublin City University. He also completed the Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) course, encompassing site design,e-commerce, and server administration. Stewart is an MBA graduate and spent the last 7 years working as a business transformation consultant throughout Scotland. Working with HIE, SE, Moray Council and the STF. Stewart has held senior business development roles in new venture e-business companies in Edinburgh helping to improve the awareness and execution of online business practices in these areas.
Ian Howie (Senior Associate, Web Design and Project Management) Having gained his Bachelor of Design (hons) from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Ian moved to Edinburgh in 1992 to pursue a career as a designer. Since 1997 he has been working as a web designer providing design and development services to various companies throughout Scotland and the UK, including NHS Grampian, Scottish Tourism Forum, Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Morrison Facilities Management and Angus Robertson MP. He is also a CIW Associate and keen photographer.
Susan Edwards (Senior Associate, Web Design) Before joining Netdata, Susan Edwards was already manager/ owner of a successful catering company, as well as a project manager on several property development projects. Involved in key projects including Health-e-space for NHS Grampian. Susan also holds an HND in Graphical and Digital design from Telford College Edinburgh.
Rene Looper (Senior Associate, Business Development) Rene Looper is founder and Creative Director of Tuminds Ltd, a consultancy business developing Excellence, Partnerships and IT skills in the Tourism sector, assisting businesses to develop and improve their web presence and Customer Relationship Management, and offering services to Destination Management Organisations.
Mike Thornton (Business Development Manager) Mike Thornton is originally from the Forres area and moved to Edinburgh to study at Edinburgh University. Having gained his BSc Physics (Hons) he decided to remain in Scotland and instead pursue a career in sales. He has spent the majority of his career to date with the Carphone Warehouse in various sales and management roles in Edinburgh before deciding to return to Forres in order to enjoy the quality of life the area offers and to raise a family. Since returning Mike has worked in retail and banking branch management roles for major UK companies before starting his own business helping people and businesses with financial difficulties. Mike came to Netdata because his passion for technology and personal interest in web design combined with his sales experience allow him to communicate effectively with people of all levels and take the stress out of a major decision like who is going to build your website.
